We help independent storytellers build audiences and sustain careers through innovations in marketing, distribution, and data transparency and imagine a world without barriers between storytellers and their audiences.
The Creative Distribution Initiative empowers filmmakers navigating the changing business of independent film. Through an array of online resources, the program provides support and insights on creative funding, marketing, and distribution. Stay tuned for more research projects coming in 2020.
Formerly known as the Sundance Transparency Project. The project lives on through the Sundance Institute’s Creative Distribution Initiative and Reports. Significant project development also came from Harmony Institute and Assemble. Read the news on the project from IndieWire and Filmmaker Magazine.
